Dimity and Aaron had the first wedding date set for the end of March 2020 when Covid hit and all plans were thrown out the window! It was a stressful month up to the wedding date, with their two kids eagerly looking forward to the day, but no one really sure what was going to happen. A few days out from their wedding, Government restrictions meant that only 5 people could attend – not even their children would be there if they went ahead! There was no choice but to postpone. This was a family wedding as Dimity says: “To them, this was “Our Wedding”. The children would often ask us “How long until our wedding?”
Finally it was 10 months until Dimity and Aaron could tie the knot! “It was the best feeling once we walked down the aisle after being husband and wife and I remember so clearly bursting into tears saying “We did it!” It was such a relief!”
Dimity’s favourite touch was the use of plaid in some of the accessories. “My husband is known to rock a flannie every day, rain, hail or shine and there was quite a bit of talk about if he would be wearing his beloved flannie or not. We had little touches of flannie in the boy’s bowties and my boots were covered in the same flannie material.”
Special shout out to Aaron’s mum who took care of all the floral pieces and helped to create a bohemian vibe at the amazing venue of Highfield House. The couple were married in front of a sweet tepee with the majestic Stanley Nut in the background.
