The Beginning: A Slow Burn
In 2015, amidst the vibrant lights of a night club, Rheanna’s journey to forever with Nathan began. At just 18, she met Nathan, a persistent charmer whose interest sparked a slow burn romance. While he pursued her relentlessly, Rheanna remained nonchalant until she realised he was too good to keep at arm’s length. “After being chased down for a while I thought I’d give him a chance. He was too good of a bloke to keep ignoring after a while,” she says.
As a photographer, Rheanna found herself always behind the camera, capturing moments but lacking in shared memories with Nathan. The idea of a photoshoot emerged, and suspicion grew as Nathan, oddly keen, seemed set on making it happen.
The Proposal: A Twist of Fate
Expecting a proposal during the shoot, Rheanna couldn’t help but share her suspicions with friends and family. However, when her old boss canceled the session, Nathan’s disappointment led her to find an alternative with the talented Kel Bransden in Stanley, Tasmania.
The shoot progressed smoothly, and just when Rheanna believed she had made a fool of herself with her predictions, the unexpected occurred. Nathan, against all odds, got down on one knee in Stanley, the same place they would later exchange vows nearly two years later.
The Wedding Planning: A Dream Team
Having worked with numerous wedding vendors as a photographer, Rheanna faced the challenging task of choosing among the many talented professionals. Highfield House in Stanley was a must for the venue, and she stumbled upon the perfect date—her grandparents’ wedding anniversary.
Finding the ideal dress was an empowering experience with Tanya at Timeless Elegance, who catered to every shape and style. With her sister as a stellar on-the-day coordinator and maid of honor, a dream team came together, ensuring a seamless wedding day.
The Big Day: A Magical Experience
The 18th of February arrived, and the ceremony at Highfield House unfolded with perfection. The groom, Nathan, expressed his favorite moment—seeing Rheanna walk down the aisle, a dream they had envisioned for years.
Rheanna cherished the entire experience, from getting into her dress to the moment she arrived and saw Nathan. Her father, a devoted Chrysler Chargers enthusiast, added a special touch by sprinkling rose petals—a gesture that reflected their unique father-daughter bond.
Despite a small mishap with a button on Nathan’s suit, the ceremony remained flawless. The chosen song, “Little Wonders” by Rob Thomas, played as they arrived, creating a magical atmosphere that left an indelible mark on the hearts of their guests.
A Dream Come True: Mrs. Beer
Reflecting on the day, Rheanna expressed disbelief at finally becoming Mrs. Beer. The love story that began as a slow burn had evolved into a captivating journey, marked by laughter, surprises, and the joy of marrying a soulmate. As they embark on this new chapter, Rheanna and Nathan savor the magical memories of a wedding day that exceeded all expectations.
